POSITION SUMMARY
Assists Physician or Nurse Practitioner in the total care of patients including direct patient care and administrative duties to accomplish daily tasks presented in the operations of a physician practice to maximize time and efficiencies.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalency required. Successful completion of formal training in Medical Assistant Program preferred, however, documentation of on-the-job experience may be considered as an acceptable substitute with completion of competency test with 80% success or greater. Must have good computer skills and have solid mathematical skills. CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified unless exemption is in place in compliance with Administrative Policy ET-002, Basic Life Support, CPR. Provides basic life suppor! t (CPR) in emergency situations and able to apply up to ten (1! 0) pounds of pressure to a bleeding site.
