The Radiology Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving territory revenue targets on all of our vacuum assisted breast biopsy (VABB) products a! nd ancillary items. These products include Eviva, ATEC, and Celero breast biopsy devices as well as the tissue marker line of products. This position is also responsible for selling ATEC capital equipment biopsy consoles into the Radiology market place for Stereotactic, Ultrasound and MRI imaging procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Call on Hospitals and Imaging Center Radiology offices and prioritize efforts based on sales volume opportunity.
Identify and close new accounts for all VABB devices, targeted at radiologists and interventional radiologists.
Once trained, routinely instruct and provide hands on demonstration to customers performing image-guided biopsy procedures, to maximize physician acceptance with disposable biopsy products. Develop practical demonstration skills to differentiate benefits over entrenched biopsy method.
Differentiate Hologic products versus competitive claims, and overcome sales objections
Coordinat! e clinical and other corporate resources to address customer c! oncerns and/or issues
Manage and negotiate ongoing purchase agreements with key accounts, and high volume users in the territory.
Maintain strong relationships with key thought leaders in the territory
Represent Hologic at key academic meetings and trade-shows across the country
Keep abreast of new products/services, price trends and reimbursement information affecting our objectives and provide constructive feedback to the organization on opportunities, shortfalls, and threats.
Travel to regional accounts and medical conventions which may necessitate overnight stays Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. B.S. degree or B.A degree preferred or eq! uivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful sales performance with documented success (percent to quota, percentage growth year over year, ranking among peers, awards).
Ability to sell in a consultative manner such that the customer need is discovered and addressed in an individualized clinical and data-driven manner.
Demonstrated capability to manage a multi-state territory, with proven canvassing skills, and the ability to prioritize accounts for maximum results.
Comfortable and experienced with providing economic forecasts and in the discussion of economic ROIs (return on investment) of products
Strong customer advocate with ability to solve problems locally, while demonstrating the capacity to constructively communicate and escalate high-level issues and unmet needs and to leverage other corporate resources as required.
Ability to enter a Magnetic Resonance suite w/o risk to personal health
Must be comm! itted to improving patient care
Ability to understand and articulat! e complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process.
Familiarity with reimbursement, and managed care policies and procedures.
Experience in communicating and delivering professional education training courses for surgeons and nursing staff.
Must possess the maturity, confidence and technical skill to educate the physicians, challenge where appropriate, and successfully navigate the inherent politics.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and must have the ability to travel as necessary, which may include 20-50% overnight and periodic weekend travel
Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, and other popular business software desirable.

Ability to enter a Magnetic Resonance suite w/o risk to personal health

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and must have the! ability to travel as necessary, which may include 20-50% overnight and periodic weekend travel
