Responsibilities
Manages the provision of nursing care for the medical sub-specialties patient in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act and established policies, procedures and protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
Assesses the patient in a systematic manner.
Formulates nursing diagnoses and develops plan of care.
Initiates nursing actions and implements strategies to maximize patient outcomes.
Delegates, supervises and/or collaborates with other members of the team in the delivery of safe and effective nursing care.
! Evaluates status of interventions and patient goals for the purpose of reassessment, revision of plan of care and discharge planning.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Valid Indiana State RN license.
Must be telemetry competent and ACLS certified within 6 months.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) year RN experience.
One (1) year Telemetry experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Requires critical thinking, organizational, decisive judgment, analytical, problem solving, communications, good customer service skills and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions as needed. Personal Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
WORK SCHEDULE
Night Shift; 3 shifts per week, wi! th every third weekend.
All 12 hour shifts.
Required to attend mandatory department meetings as scheduled by department manager.
