Job Summary/Basic Function

Nursing Clinicals - Long Term Care The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School of Health Sciences. MSN Required.

Duties/Responsibilities

PROGRAM OPERATION: Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established time lines. STUDENTS: Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance. Deal with student co! ncerns and, if necessary, consult with Program Chair to resolv! e issues. INSTRUCTION: Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In the event of absence, notifies Program Chair.

Duties/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

A qualified faculty member in Nursing (AS and PN) meets all three of the following criteria: 1. Indiana Registered Nurse, and 2. Two years experience as a registered nurse, and 3. Meets one of the following educational criteria: - Possesses an earned Master's or higher degree in nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution; or - Possesses an earned bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) with a graduate degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution and hired prior to January 1, 1998.
