Admissions Coordinator
Location: Marion Indiana
Description: TLC Management is hiring Admissions Coordinator right now, this vacancy will be placed in Indiana. The primary function of this position is to be accountable for increasing quality census by representing this TLC Management facility to the Community and recommending how the facility can best expand and / or mod! ify services.
This position reports directly to the facility administrator.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- Market assessment, competitive analysis, and the development/implementation of the facilityâs marketing plan. This includes having knowledge of: the served market area (patient origin), major referral sources (by hospitals, physicians, social service agencies, etc.) and the status of the competition
- Outside sales and marketing. This includes: developing new customer/marketing referral sources, maintaining high visibility of the facility in the community to project an image as a resource for issues of long term health care and keeping discharge planners and other referral sources aware of services offered and bed availability.
- Inside sales and admissions. This includes following up on all inquiries to answer further questions on Medicare/Medicaid, continuing periodic follow-up until resid! ent is placed at TLC or competitive facility, Tracking data co! ncerning rate of inquiry to admission, major competitive facilities where inquiries are being placed, and handling admissions procedure and all appropriate paperwork in keeping with TLC policy.
A Bachelorâs degree in liberal arts, nursing/social service or related field is desired. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of academic rank.
Exposure to and understanding of the Health Care Delivery System and/or sales and marketing function is also required.
On-the-job training and in-service provided under the direction of the corporate Director of Marketing.
Must project credibility and possess well developed communication skills and be able to work autonomously.
40-50 hours per week will be anticipated, including some weekend or evening work.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
