Description: Advanced Correctional Healthcare is looking of Site Nurse Manager right now, this vacancy will be placed in Indiana. The Site Nurse Manager is responsible to the Jail Healthcare Authority, the ACH Regional Nurse Manager, and the ACH Director Medical Operations. The Site Nurse Manager must work with patients, department staff, dental staff, medical and nursing staff, security staff at all levels, administrative and support staff, and all health service providers.

• Selects and assigns staff, ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and promotion.
• Hiring responsibilities include: reviewing resumes’, verifying references, and interviewing candidates. After selection and offer of employment is accepted, the Site Nurse Manager is responsible for new employee completing all necessary paperwork, forwarding to Human Resources at the Corporate Office and the orientation of new staff.
• Responsible for covering any contract nursing hours unfilled by site nursing staff.
• Assesses, plans, and delivers nursing care to detained and committed.
• Supervises other nursing and nursing paraprofessional personnel in patient care.
• Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
• Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
• Identifies staff development and training needs and ensure that training is obtained.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
• Supervises and participates in the provision of general nursing care services.
• Audits payroll, professional time sheets of independent contractors, reports hours and reviews use of overtime.
• Completes and submits monthly statistical, narrative, summary and/or operation reports.
• Completes Peer reviews.
• Conducting CQI meetings.
• Audits weekly logs and received billing statements/invoices, and forwards them to corporate office.
• Reviews status of inmates with serious health problems ensuring all necessary intervention and treatment is completed.
• Monitors inpatient hospitalizations and ensures early release whenever appropriate.
• Authorizes and secures supplies and equipment for operations.
• Serves as liaison between staff, corporate office and other areas within the facility.

Job Qualifications:
The Site Nurse Manager must be state licensed; CPR certified; minimum of 2 years nursing experience; supervisory experience a must; and good decision making skills.
