70+ bed acute care Medical Center in Eastern-Fort Wayne area in Indiana is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer.

Acute care facility is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Services offered by the hospital include Cancer Center, Pediatrics, Medical/Surgical, Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery, Intensive Care, Continuing Care, Obstetrical Services, Emergency Services, Business Health Services, Rehabilitation Services, Counseling, Home Health Care, Weight Management Center and a full range of Diagnostic Services.

Summary:
Reports to Chief Executive Officer Carries the leadership responsibilities for other departments as determined by Chief Executive Officer Directs all Nursing Service employees Steer Progressive clinical excellence through staff development Shares responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment and retention Provide nursing care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions Clinical cost control Implement company standards of care, policies, and procedures Ensure all regulatory requirements are met Create and implement schedule for safe staffing

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related preferred

Certifications:
Current RN license from an accredited university/institution

Experience:
Previous Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President, AVP/ACNO, or other Administrative upper level management experience in an acute care hospital environment Must possess detailed knowledge of hospital nursing operations 5+ years of demonstrated successful leadership in an acute-care hospital environment (For-profit experience preferred)
