Responsibilities

Assesses the patient in a systematic and organized manner. Initiates nursing actions and implements strategies to maximize patient outcomes. Delegates, supervises and/or collaborates with other members of the health care team in the delivery of safe and effective nursing care. Evaluates status of interventions and patient goals for the purpose of reassessment, revision of plan of care and discharge planning. Prepares patient for examination and assists with treatments and procedures. Collaborates with other members of the health care team in the delivery of safe and effective healthcare. Educates patients about procedures and follow up care.
