Emergency Care Center at Lafayette Central is located close to downtown Lafayette on North 16th Street. 26 beds including three trauma bays are equipped with the most sophisticated and innovative technology available.
The emergency triage desk is located just inside the entrance and is staffed by an Emergency Care Center team member 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The emergency team member will ask questions about your illness or injury and will bring you straight to a bed. Our goal is to have you in! a bed within five minutes and be seen by a clinician within 1! 0 minutes of your arrival. This policy helps keep our wait times below national average.
To help accelerate your care, the clinical staff will strive to see you at the same time so you only have to describe your medical condition once. Registration is done at the bedside after you've been seen by the clinician. You will be asked for basic information including birth date, address, phone number and health insurance

Board-certified emergency medicine physicians. Our medical staff includes Certified Emergency Nurses with specialized training in emergency medicine, registered nurses and physician assistants. All of our nurses are ACLS, PALS and TNCC certified. Certified technicians are available to administer diagnostic! tests such as x-rays and ultrasounds via mobile imaging technology tha! t allows them to do the tests right at your bed
