The Department of OB/GYN is seeking a Clini! cal Research Nurse. This position will initiate, conduct, complete, and report clinical studies/trials spearheaded by Dr. Frank Gonzalez that are focused on metabolism as it pertains to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
Some key duties and responsibilities are: Assign and coordinate study activities to ensure protocol, regulatory and standard operating procedures (SOP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance; develop solutions to complex problems that impact the timely and accurate conduct of clinical research; Recruit subjects according to IRB/protocol approved methodologies; Develop advertising and other information materials for recruitment; Order and receive drug/device supplies.
The successful candidate should have working knowledge of clinical research protocol management, staff interaction with human subjects, electronic communication with the IRB, phlebotomy and obtaining vital signs on study subjects; independent ability to troubleshoot proble! ms and develop projects; excellent time management and multi-t! asking abilities; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and facility with Windows and MacOS computing environments, and word-processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution, plus 2 years clinical research experience; or Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited institution, plus 2 years nursing experience and 2 years clinical research experience; or Licensed Practical Nursing degree/diploma from an accredited institution, plus 3 years nursing experience and 3 years clinical research experience.
Appropriate licensure required. Clinical Research Certification (ARCP or SOCRA) is preferred.
