This progressive, regional healthcare organization specializes in “whole person†healthcare, integrating physical, mental and social well-being of an individual. They provide both outpatient services at nearby clinic locations, as well as acute inpatient psychiatry services at the Regional hospital and they have a 16 bed adult unit and a 20- bed geriatric unit. Average number of patients per day is 16 â€" 18; we are currently recruitin! g a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for its Inpatient Service! who will provide C&L Psychiatric services on the general medical floors.
This position provides an array of nursing care services and related functions as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The NP will actively collaborate with staff psychiatrists in assessing and monitoring clients’ physical and mental health status, and will perform C & L or Psychosomatic Psychiatry work. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with one (1) required weekend per quarter.
Located in East Central Indiana, the Muncie-Delaware County Metropolitan area is home to Ball State University and well over 100,000 people. Muncie is located on the White River, approx. 58 miles northeast of Indianapolis, the state capitol and geographic center of Indiana.
